Patient Responsibilities

  • You have the responsibility to show others the same respect and courtesy that you expect to receive yourself.
  • It is your responsibility to ask questions and seek clarification to understand your dental condition and /or treatment.
  • You are responsible for the possible consequences of not following your dentists’ recommendations.
  • You have a responsibility to cooperate with the Smiles Turkey so that we can provide benefits in accordance with your dental plan. Since Smiles Turkey has numerous payment sources it is your responsibility to know what your dental plans coverage allows, deductibles and co-insurance payments.
  • You are responsible for keeping all scheduled appointments with treatment providers or paying Smiles Turkey adequate cancelation costs.
  • You alone are responsible for raising any concerns you may have with Smiles Turkey.
  • You have a responsibility to become familiar with the benefits, policies and procedures of your dental plan by reading the materials distributed by the relevant treatment providers. For clarification you are entitled to speak to the customer service representative of the relevant dental plan if you have any questions.
  • You are responsible for reading and understanding, accepting or rejecting all documents submitted to yourself.
  • You have the responsibility to provide your dentist with all requested information needed that will allow Smiles Turkey to provide you with the best treatment plan that suits your needs.
  • You have a responsibility to fulfil your financial obligations within the agreed time frame.
  • You have the responsibility to perform an intraoral examination yourself and to follow the providers instructions regarding home care treatment.
  • Periodically, Smiles Turkey will conduct patient surveys as a part of our continuous improvement initiatives. You have the option to be a part of the solution by completing these surveys.
  • You have a responsibility to maintain your personal distance to all employees of Smiles Turkey. If this is not adhered to Smiles Turkey has the right to interrupt/refuse your treatment.

Patient Rights

  • If the diagnosed treatment should change whilst you are in the treatment clinic you have the right to pay only for the cost of the product in the price differential.
  • In the case of clinical complications, you have the right to benefit from hotel, treatment and transport services, free of charge.
  • Once your treatment has been completed, you have the right to receive both video and written counselling from our Doctors 3 times a year.
  • You have the right to receive a video consultation prior to your treatment commencing.
  • Should you decide not to go ahead with the agreed treatment once you have arrived you have the right to one night’s free hotel accommodation and free transport services.
  • You have the right to safely receive all transport services related to your treatments.
  • You have the right to choose the required colour and shape of your tooth design for Crown treatments.
  • You have the right to insure your entire treatments with an extra payment.
  • You have the right to receive flight tickets, accommodation, transfers and treatment within the scope of your insurance.
  • You have the right you have the right to receive appropriate information relating to provider’s policies and procedures.
  • You have the right to be informed by your Dentist about your treatment and diagnosis in a clear and concise manner.
  • You have the right to receive sufficient information from your Dentist to enable you to give consent prior to the commencing of any dental treatment.
  • You have the right to be treated with respect, dignity and recognition of your privacy.
  • You have the right to refuse treatment, medications or other procedures suggested by Smiles Turkey providers and to the extent permitted by law and to be informed of the possible consequences of refusing the prosed treatment.
  • You have reasonable access to dental services.
  • You have the right to expect all communications and records regarding your health and to be treated in the most confidential manner.
  • In accordance with the law, you have the right to obtain a copy of your dental records from Smiles Turkey.
  • You have the right to raise any concerns regarding the behaviour of Smiles Turkey Staff.
